Meet the Cumming Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Cumming
We’re the crew that shows up when a torsion spring lets go at 7 a.m. on a Tuesday or when a homeowner in Vickery Creek decides it’s finally time to replace a 22-year-old wooden door. Servo Garage Doors Cumming is independently owned and operated under The Haven Standard, which means every technician on this page works to the same written rules, the same documentation system, and the same flat-price requirement. No exceptions, no matter whose truck rolls up. Marcus Deller, Owner, built this team around one question: would you want this person standing in your garage at midnight? These are the people who pass that test.
Our People
Marcus Deller, Owner
Marcus has been in the garage door trade since before the first iPhone shipped, and he still carries a spring gauge in his truck that’s older than most of his crew. He founded Servo Garage Doors Cumming in 2015 after years of watching competitors quote low over the phone and bill high at the door. That’s why Clause 1 of The Haven Standard exists: a flat, written price and written scope before any work starts. Marcus handles the hard diagnostics, the second-opinion reviews, and the calls where another company told a homeowner to replace a door that just needed a $40 limit switch. He’s the reason every job closes with a documented photo record, so you see the failed part before anyone quotes a replacement.
Derek R., Lead Technician
Derek has been with Servo since 2017 and is the guy we send to Reunion and Windermere when a door has stumped someone else. He’s certified on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Genie opener systems, and he can rebuild a trolley carriage blindfolded. His specialty is torsion spring replacement done to factory torque spec, not “feels tight enough.” Derek is the quiet type, but he’ll walk you through exactly what he found, show you the photo of the broken coil, and explain the fix in terms you’ll actually understand. Off the clock, he restores old Ford trucks and has strong opinions about torque wrenches.
Sarah M., Senior Installer
Sarah joined the Cumming team four years ago and has installed over 700 doors in Forsyth County, from Clopay steel-panel units in new construction to custom Amarr doors on Lake Lanier waterfront properties. She’s the person you want measuring a rough opening in a 1970s garage that’s settled three inches since Nixon was president. Sarah runs every installation by the same standard: level tracks, balanced springs, photo record at the end. Her background in carpentry means she catches framing issues before they become door problems. She’s also the reason our truck inventory stays organized, which the rest of the crew pretends to resent.
Ben T., Service Coordinator
Ben is the live voice on the phone, which matters because our phones are answered by a real person 24/7, including holidays and 2 a.m. emergency calls from a homeowner whose door won’t close in Castleberry. He dispatches technicians, confirms the flat written price before work begins, and makes sure every customer knows the name of the technician headed their way and when they’re on the way. Ben has been with Servo since 2019 and keeps a running mental map of every neighborhood in the Cumming service area. If you call about a Raynor door making a grinding noise, Ben can usually tell you over the phone whether it’s a bearing plate or a chewed gear, and he’ll set the appointment anyway because guessing is not a diagnostic.
Luis C., Apprentice Technician
Luis is two years into his apprenticeship and already handles opener diagnostics, sensor alignment, and full door inspections on his own. He’s working toward full certification on all eight major brands we service, including Wayne Dalton and Raynor, and he rides with Derek on most spring and cable jobs. Luis is fluent in Spanish, which helps a lot of homeowners in south Forsyth get a clearer explanation of what’s broken and what it costs. He’s also the one who insists on photographing every failed part before it comes off the shaft, because Clause 4 says so and because he’s seen too many jobs where the customer never got to see what they were paying for.
One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this page works to the same document, The Haven Standard, and it governs what happens before, during, and after the repair. Clause 1 is the flat written price and written scope delivered before any work starts, no “call for a quote” games. Clause 4 puts the camera in play: the failed torsion spring, the stripped gear, the rusted hinge bearing gets photographed and shown to you before anyone asks for approval on a replacement. Every job closes with that photo record in your hands, plus the written warranty and the flat-price scope. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is the backstop: if it’s not right, we make it right. That’s not a handshake. It’s a written term, and the whole crew in Cumming works to it on every single job. Eighteen thousand garage doors made right since 2015, every one with a written price and a documented record when the technician left.
